So we had a long day... what can I say. Katelyn fell asleep for the first time ever at the dinner table. And for anyone who has ever seen her eat, you know that is crazy because she loves her food. At least she got a little bit of food in her tummy before she fell asleep. We had a picnic lunch with Daddy at work today. Went grocery shopping, and then came home and played in our blow up pool, which has a slide. The girls definetly wore themselves out today. They were both asleep before 7:30pm... neither of them fell asleep in bed. That's a first. Kylie was in time out in her room, but snuck out to the top of the stairs. When we went to check on her she was sitting criss cross applesauce (indian style) with her head in her lap, sound asleep at the top of the stairs.
Do you want to play with the toad too? Infamous question that I usually say no and try not to run away. Trying not to let her know that I am grossed out by toads, frogs, bugs, worms... ok... anything without fur.
So it must be the age, or she is brave like her Daddy... but Kylie loves toads and frogs. Katelyn won't touch them, but Kylie thinks they are a blast. She picks them up and carries them all around. I did catch her right before she kissed it...I told her she would get warts on her mouth if she kissed it... she knows what warts are because she actually had one on her toe that we had to get special medicine to get rid of it.... yuck... But this frog was lucky as she was much more gentle than she was with the last one she caught. And she was nice enough to put it back in it's "house" when she was done playing with it. I guess you could call it cute...
We had a great time getting all dressed up in matching outfits to celebrate Avery's 1st birthday in Kentucky this past weekend. The girls had a blast with the birthday hats and balloons! They even got little goodies bags from the birthday girl to take home. Eventhough it was Avery's party, Kylie and Katelyn made it their mission to talk to everyone in the room. They were little social butterflies!
