May was so much fun! We had so many wonderful experiences. Katelyn and Kylie had a wonderful Mother's Day Tea Party and sang some very cute songs to me! Kylie graduated from Preschool and is getting ready for Kindergarten. Katelyn is very excited to be going to preschool again next year. And Claire, she learned to walk and go up and down the stairs. Such a busy month!!! Enjoy!

Claire enjoyed her very own
ice cream treat! For the last day of school there was an
ice cream truck in the parking lot. The teachers talked up the event very well aparently! Unfortunately, Leah and Kylie had their last day of school on different days... which caused quite a few tears on Leah's last day of school when I had only $3 in my pocket and 5 kids in tow! So, with the promise of
ice cream from the
ice cream truck the next day for Kylie's last day of school, we went home and made our own
ice cream treats. We had all kinds of toppings, from crushed
oreo's to rainbow sprinkles. The girls had a blast and the tears went away, thankfully :)

Kylie was all about the chocolate toppings... thankfully it was vanilla
ice cream! She used chocolate syrup,
oreo's, chocolate sprinkles and chocolate chips! Wow! And she licked the bowl clean too!

Katelyn loved her
ice cream treat as well. She was very detailed about what topping went on which part of her
ice cream. She tried a little sprinkle of everything.

Leah said that the
ice cream bar made up for not getting
ice cream off of the
ice cream truck for her last day of school... but I think it was really the fact that she knew she was going to get
ice cream two days in a row :)

Abby loved her chocolate chips and rainbow sprinkles on her
ice cream. Like Katelyn, she was made sure every sprinkle had the perfect spot on her
ice cream!

So, not sure what gave me this idea, but the kids had a BLAST with it! Usually when I give the kids finger paint, I cover the table, take off shirts and wrap them in old clothes only to insist that finger paint if for paper only. But this time, I decided to take the finger paint outside where the hose was readily available. I put 6 different colors of paint in tubs on the ground and let them go nuts. At first they just spread it on the palms of their hands... but after a little coaxing, they managed to paint their bodies from head to toe! They had a blast running
thru the sprinkler to rinse it off afterwards too! I called it paint, rinse and repeat! This is Ryan's first body masterpiece!

Katelyn was a little more reserved about spreading the paint everywhere, but she managed to do a pretty good job getting the paint smeared around! Funny, it didn't seem to matter what colors I gave them, they all ended up a rosy brownish color!

Logan won the contest of becoming the most painted kid. He
beat Kylie by a painted ear! He was very proud of his accomplishment!

Kylie did a very good job getting paint everywhere! She even painted her hair and her bathing suit! They say that paint is washable, but it still looks painted to me even after many cycles
thru the wash! I figure it just adds character to her swimming suit!
LOL!

Here Katelyn and Ryan were asking each other if they wanted help painting each other's back. It was so cute as Logan was flopping all around trying to paint his own back. I just happened to look up to hear Ryan ask Katelyn if she wanted him to paint her back. She just giggled and said, I'll paint your back! It was too cute! All in all, the backyard body painting was a success! The kids ask almost every day if they can do it again. I just need to get more finger paint as it takes quite a bit of finger paint to paint four little bodies!

These six kids have so much fun together! This day, they were playing outside for hours, and I couldn't figure out why they kept laying on the landing. I took a picture and asked them later... come to find out, Kylie and Katelyn were the "mean one tornadoes." Apparently the other kids are the pile of houses and cars that the tornadoes broke! I love kids imaginations!

Claire on
safari! :) She'll do just about anything the kids want, just so she can play with them and pretend she is a big kid too. Here, Abby kept putting this hat on her and Claire would giggle and giggle, then throw the hat. Abby thought this was hilarious, and kept putting the hat back on her head for almost 5 minutes! Amazing how this kind of simple play can go on for such a long time!

I thought this picture of Abby was very beautiful! She was trying to put together a
Scooby Doo puzzle and was very concentrated. This picture is very Abby! Love it!

So, we made use out of a few of the empty toilet paper rolls we go
thru with so many girls in the house on a daily basis! We made microphones out of them and sang for days! Claire even got into the action, although she liked to take it apart and bite it instead of singing into it!

Kylie was very serious about her singing. She made sure to do all of the hair flips and hip swinging to go with it. She loves to watch "singers," as she calls them. American Idol was one of her favorites. We just had to edit out the extras that come with the show that aren't so kid friendly :)

Katelyn was more interested in building her microphone that actually using it. She kept changing the decorations. She'd decorate it one way... sing in it for a minute, then say "that's not right" and she'd take the whole thing apart and redesign it! She is still holding onto her microphone a few weeks later!

Leah was all about singing into her microphone. She wanted to know why it didn't really work after we spent an hour decorating it. When I told her she had to pretend, she kind of played around with it for awhile and was done. She was excited about the decorations, but not as into pretending it could make her voice louder :)

This is a picture of Kylie's graduation ceremony. She wanted a picture with her sisters outside her Rocket classroom. She was very sad that she wouldn't be a Rocket anymore, but is very excited to become a
Kindergartner and ride the bus. Mommy is a little nervous about letting a bus driver take her to and from school without
car seat and
seat belt, but I guess every Mom has to loosen the reins at some point. Probably a good thing I'll have extra kids on her first day of school.... otherwise I'd probably follow the bus to and from school! So hard to believe I am facing Kindergarten already! They grow up so fast!

Kylie adored her teachers this year. I think she was a teachers pet! She always wanted to make them pictures. For the last day of school, after spending a week making a special gift for each of them, she still spent all morning making them special pictures for each of them. She drew each a picture of them holding her hand (of coarse Kylie had a princess dress and crown in the pictures). She hand delivered her special gift to her teachers with arms
outstretched and little tears coming down her checks saying she'd miss them in Kindergarten. She is so grown up!

Charley and
Lewei love to play together, but sometimes a little afternoon nap is necessary!

Double trouble... that's what I call Claire Kathleen and Claire Rose! They play together and get into trouble together! If they don't grow up to be best friends, it will be aa shame! Everyday, when Claire Rose comes over, they both get their little arms and legs swinging and let out little giggles. They are always so excited to play with each other. Everyday I enjoy watching them grow into their personalities and friendships.

Uh Oh Claire! Charley and Claire are getting into trouble... if Claire Rose isn't around, Claire recruits Charley to help her in her endeavors! Here Claire was feeding Charley
Lewei's food and dropping a few bites here and there into his water bowl! Little squirt! Charley was loving it though!

Who said rainy days aren't fun?!!? We had a
camp out inside, complete with a movie. The kids loved squishing into the tent on the living room floor... until Charley wanted in too! Charley was very excited to find so many kids in one spot! I have never seen a tent empty out so quickly!

Girlie stuff! Here are the Claire's playing in the doll house with big sisters handmade princess crowns. Needless to say, quite a few tears needed to be mopped up after this duo plucked every single sticker off of the carefully crafted crown! Good lesson to learn... if it's on the floor then it will be taken by the Claire tornado or Charley chomper!

My sweet girls! They had a Mother's Day Tea Party at school. All I have to say is it was doubly sweet having both of them sing to me at the same time. Last year was cute with Kylie, but there was something about watching them sing and dance together and interact with each other that just melted my heart. They had so much fun that they asked for pictures afterwards. I can't
believe I got them to kiss each other... usually Kylie says it's gross because she doesn't want Katelyn's slobber.

At the beginning of the Tea Party, the girls presented me with a handmade gift of dish towels with their hand prints on them to form butterflies. These towels are always in my kitchen or washer. I love them to pieces and I don't know what will happen when they are old and tattered. I am sure they will still be hanging on my stove!

Kylie and Katelyn enjoyed the refreshments after the Tea Party. Here they are sharing a root beer float. I was very surprised that Katelyn liked it as she has a strong dislike for pop. But there must have been enough icecream to camoflauge the pop. They shared the whole float using their please's and thank you's with each other! So, so, so sweet!!!!
All in all, May was a wonderful month! I look forward to enjoying my girls all summer long and having many, many more wonderful memories to share!
Love,
The Krucks
